WARWICK, R.I. (WPRI) - The addiction recovery center known as the Kent House celebrates its 30th anniversary by announcing their new name, Bridgemark Addiction Recovery Services.

The center's C.E.O. says the old name implied that their services were limited to Kent County, which they're not. Plus, the name Kent was frequently used by other medical businesses, causing confusion for patients.

The non-profit agency provides residential treatment and counseling programs at 6 locations, for people who are struggling with drug and alcohol addictions.

The group also used today's ceremony to acknowledge its supporters, which included Congressman Patrick Kennedy and Senate President M. Teresa Paiva-Weed.
